Pink-rumped Rosefinch in the bushes.
Looking back toward Qinghai Lake.
Robin accentor was very common near Qinghai Lake.
So too was Hume's Groundpecker (Ground Tit)
A yak herder was also stirring early.
Red-collared Snowfinch was another usual suspect

Like the wild west, only Chinese.

Blue-fronted Redstart (aka Gobsmack's Redstart)
Follow the valley long enough and you'll arrive at this small Buddhist Temple.

The scenery was heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
This very friendly local prepared fresh dumplings for breakfast.
There were also Chinese doughnuts to be had. Sugar optional.
Local stores provided lunch, usually consisting of oreos, chips and crackers.
The local red foxes had very long tails.
Woolly Hare was also very common.
The boys were lined up to look for Ground Jay.
